Egg report for week ending April 15, 2011

We found our first eggs this week.

In a block with 3-4 inches of shoot growth, we found one WHITE egg (recently laid).

In a block with 5-6 inches of shoot growth we found one WHITE and two YELLOW eggs.

This is consistent with 2010, when we recorded our first eggs at 3-4 inches of shoot growth.

Insecticide treatments should be applied at egg hatch.

(except vineyards in the Central Valley where 2 insecticide applications will be made.)
